UPDATE: McGee and it's PTO have decided to make a whole new computer lab THIS YEAR!   This project and  YOUR donations  are helping them meet their goal.  Thank you all so much!

UPDATE: Monday May14th is the day!

I have about a dozen of my friends signed up to help me out.  We will be cleaning up all hte bottles and cans around the school grounds, and planting new annuals as well as raking up pleaves and other plant stuff.

We are holding a school clean-up day to help raise funds for new computers.

The clean up day will take place within 3 weeks of the end of the funding dead line for the project. The way it will work is I will get a bunch of my friends, and any other willing people together, and we will go over to McGee. We'll pick up all the trash in the parking lot, near the baseball field and any other area near the school and throw it away. The reason I want to do this project is that I want to give something back to my school before I leave. We want to take pride in the McGee and make it better.

We are asking everyone to donate any amount that you can (we really appreciate every bit of help).  We will use a small portion of the funds to buy supplies (garbage bags, gloves etc.)  And the rest will be given to the McGee School Parent Teacher Organization to help the school buy newer computers for some of the class rooms.

We hope that, by doing this project we will be able to raise enough funds to buy at least two computers (target is $2500) and, beautify the school in the process.

Thanks for your support.  We will post pictures and videos of the clean-up day when it happens, and of the new computers when they arrive at the school.

You support means a lot to us, and to our fellow students who will be able to learn more using the newer computers.
