Hello all!
I'm very excited to announce that I earned myself a position as an intern in Oshkosh, Wisconsin this summer! For all who don't know, Oshkosh, Wisconsin is home to EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) and is practially a city of aviation! They have an avaiton camp for kids (Air Academy), an air museum, a couple airports, and the biggest airshow in the world! Anyways, I will be spending 2+ months there. I'm leaving around June 7-8 and won't be back until August! I'll be doing everything from being a camp counselor and living on EAA grounds to going to the airshow! I can't wait!!
Meanwhile, I would like to thank everyone who has donated and continues to donate. You don't know how much each donation is going to help me! I'm hoping by next summer I can earn my pilot's license... I can't thank you enough for your support!
Also, some random news. Yesterday (May 12), I went flying at Brainard Airport with Young Eagles. I got to fly over UCONN which was pretty cool. I also toured CT Aero Tech - where you can get your Airframe and Powerplant license for working on planes. And for anyone who knows about homebuilts, the original RV-1 flew in! It was signed by Vans himself! I even got to sit in it - see the picture lol. It was a pretty spectacular day.

Sincerely,
Alyssa Mae :D
